Ginetta Awards Evening

On Saturday 25th October, the Ginetta community gathered at The Queens Hotel in Leeds for the annual Awards Evening — a prestigious event that formally brings the curtain down on the racing season.

Held just after the final round of the main championship at Donington Park, the timing was perfect. The intensity of competition had settled, the dust from the season finale had cleared, and the evening provided an opportunity for drivers, teams, partners and families to come together and reflect on the year’s achievements in a far more relaxed setting.

After a long and demanding season — my first in motorsport — it was refreshing to swap race suits for black tie and celebrate the collective effort that underpins every lap turned on track.

I attended alongside my dad and the team at Performance One Motorsport. Sharing the evening with them made it particularly meaningful. Motorsport is never an individual effort; behind every driver is a group of people investing time, energy and belief. The Awards Evening was a reminder of just how many people contribute to making a season possible.

Celebrating the 2025 Season

The night itself was a celebration of success across all Ginetta championships — from the junior categories through to the senior series. Championship winners, race victors and standout performers were recognised for their achievements throughout the year.

For many, it marked the culmination of seasons defined by championships and podiums. For others — myself included — it was a moment to reflect on development, resilience and progression across a debut campaign.

My first year in motorsport has been a steep learning curve. There were highs, setbacks, breakthroughs and hard lessons. Being in the room alongside some of the most talented young drivers in the world reinforced both the competitiveness of the championship and the level required to succeed.

Ginetta Social Media Award

During the ceremony, I was incredibly proud — and genuinely surprised — to be announced as the recipient of the inaugural Ginetta Social Media Award.

This award recognises the driver, across all Ginetta championships, who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to promoting both themselves and the Ginetta brand to a wider audience. In modern motorsport, performance off the track is increasingly important. Building a professional presence, engaging supporters, and adding value for sponsors are all essential components of a successful racing career.

When my name was called, it was a moment I hadn’t anticipated. Throughout the season, I have made a conscious effort to document the journey — not just the successes, but the setbacks, the lessons and the realities of development in junior motorsport. Sharing that story authentically has always been important to me.

To have that recognised by Ginetta, especially as the first-ever recipient of the award, was a significant honour.

Walking onto the stage to collect the trophy was a proud moment — one that stands alongside my on-track achievements this season. And yes, the trophy itself is definitely one of the most substantial pieces of silverware I’ve received to date.

Reflection on the Bigger Picture

While racing results are always the primary focus, this award reinforced something equally important: motorsport is about more than lap times.

It is about professionalism.
It is about representation.
It is about growing the sport and inspiring the next generation.

From working with sponsors and partners, to engaging with fans and documenting race weekends, the responsibility extends beyond the cockpit. The support I’ve received this year has been incredible, and being able to share that journey with a wider audience has been a privilege.

Receiving this recognition has only strengthened my motivation to continue raising the standard — both on and off the track.

The Future

The Awards Evening provided the perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on a demanding but formative first season. It was a reminder of how far the journey has progressed in just one year — and how much potential there is still to unlock.

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to:

  • Ginetta, for the honour and recognition
  • Performance One Motorsport, for their relentless hard work throughout the season
  • My family, whose support makes everything possible
  • Sponsors, for their continued belief
  • And everyone who has followed and supported the journey so far

With the main championship season now concluded, attention turns to the final racing action of 2025 in the Ginetta Winter Series — another opportunity to continue learning, improving and building momentum into next year.

The 2025 season may nearly be complete, but the work continues.
